Tom Corbett, Space Cadet - Promotional Signed Photo (1951)

Tom Corbett's Wonder Book of Space (Wonder Books, NY, 1953)
Written by Marcia Martin and illustrated by Frank Vaughn, this is one of those amazing pearls that could have only been created in the early 1950's, when we hadn't yet actually gone, you know, up there.
So here's what I propose: close your eyes, breathe deep, let go of your worries. You just came from school and the cereals were waiting for you. Kellogg's of course. You wouldn't have any other, because these were the ones with Tom Corbett, your hero! You put on your Space Cadet cap, you wear your Space Cadet belt (you never take off your Tom Corbett ring, of course) and go sit on the couch to read your new book.
So relax... you're going on an adventure with Tom Corbett himself!
[Hoping I'm not infringing on someone's copyright, should there be an issue with this please send an email and the pages will be removed. I just hope not -- this is too good not to be shared... ]
Tom Corbett, Space Cadet Belt (Yale, 1950's)
The "Official Tom Corbett, Space Cadet Belt" by Yale, produced in the early 1950's. Spaceship has been punched and piece missing from upper right corner, belt o/w in excellent condition, with original elastic bands.
Tom Corbett, Space Cadet Cap (Lee, 1952)
Produced by Lee (USA) in 1952, this was one of the first Tom Corbett toys available. Missing the drop-down field glasses, the hat is nevertheless in excellent condition, probably never worn. The silver material is extremely fragile in that it looks crumpled even if never worn.
"Tom Corbett, Space Cadet" Face Ring (1952)
Tom Corbett was the star of Tom Corbett — Space Cadet in television, radio, books, comic books, comic strips, coloring books, punch-out books and View-Master reels in the 1950s. The stories followed the adventures of Tom Corbett, Astro, and Roger Manning, cadets at the Space Academy as they train to become members of the elite Solar Guard. The action takes place at the Academy in classrooms and bunkrooms, aboard their training ship the rocket cruiser Polaris, and on alien worlds, both within our solar system and in orbit around nearby stars.
I could find no information on the ring -- who made it? It was not a premium of Kellogs cereals, as they offered the plastic rings. Any info would be most welcome!

| Called the "Face Ring", sadly it is not in the best condition. Still, a prized item for me. |
